Shelton at Amity, Thursday, 4 p.m.; East Lyme at Stonington, Saturday, 10:30 a.m.: New Fairfield is in the clubhouse at 14-0 in the regular season. The only other two teams that remain unbeaten: Amity (13-0) and East Lyme (11-0). These games can complete a perfect trip before this week’s playoffs. (Darien is 13-0 against CIAC competition going into its final two games, against New Canaan and St. Joseph, but it lost a regular-season game to Brunswick that doesn’t count toward states seeding.)
Darien at New Canaan, Thursday, 4 p.m.: No. 1 meets No. 2. Darien won an early-season matchup when the Rams were banged up.
Fairfield Warde at Fairfield Ludlowe, Saturday, noon: Both teams have had nice regular seasons that’ll wrap up here, but it will also be a day to remember Kevin Kuczo and Jake Panus, students from each school who’ve died over the past year.
Glastonbury at Simsbury, Saturday, noon: They could meet again soon, but for the moment they’ll complete their regular seasons with a top-flight CCC contest.
Staples at New Canaan, Saturday, 2 p.m.: These teams opened the season in Westport and they’ll close the regular season a couple of towns over.
Fairfield Prep at Wilton, Saturday, 7 p.m.: A year full of fun SCC-FCIAC matchups wraps up with another.
SWC Playoffs, (Thursday), Monday, Wednesday: Quarterfinals in parentheses because assorted conflicts meant one game apiece on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday’s game was a win for top seed New Fairfield, which hasn’t lost a game to a league foe since 2017 (nor to a state foe since a few weeks after that).
SCC Division I playoffs, Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday: Fairfield Prep and Cheshire are the top two seeds and have been finalists often.
SCC Division II playoffs, Monday/Wednesday: There’s a separate second playoff for the first time since 2005. Amity is the top seed of four and went unbeaten in league play.
FCIAC playoffs, Monday, Wednesday, Friday: Seeds won’t be set until Saturday, but Darien is the only team unbeaten in league play going into the last day (Thursday’s game against New Canaan was not a league game). New Canaan won it two years ago.
ECC playoffs, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: Unbeaten East Lyme and Bacon Academy, a Class S finalist two years ago, are among the teams to watch.
Shoreline playoffs, Tuesday/Thursday: North Branford is the defending champion, but Valley Regional and Haddam-Killingworth split a couple of close games recently.
CCC playoffs, TBA: Division championship games are expected, dates and pairings to be determined, which may be a bit of a jigsaw puzzle between makeup regular-season games and the CIAC tournament’s preliminary round.
NCCC playoffs, TBA: The conference’s teams played a CCC schedule this season, but they won’t take part in that conference’s playoffs. What the NCCC itself will do wasn’t finalized. A one-game final might be a rematch of Canton’s first win over Somers.
WCLC playoffs: Awaiting details, but it appeared the final will be May 27. St. Paul was the 2019 champion.
