Friday's New Haven County boys/girls hockey roundup: Shea's hat trick leads Amity to victory

Boys hockey
Amity 6, Cheshire 4 >> Adam Shea had a hat trick and an assist to lead the Spartans in the Division II championship game of the West Haven Holiday tournament at Bennett Rink in West Haven. The Spartans (3-1) scored three goals in the final 41 seconds of the third period to earn the victory. Zach Shelnitz added two goals and goalie Brian Mosher had 27 saves for the Spartans. Luke Vendetto led the Rams (1-3) with a goal and two assists.

No. 10 East Haven 6, Greenwich 0 >> Matt Longobardi scored three goals for East Haven, which remained undefeated in this non-conference game at Greeenwich. Head coach Lou Pane earned his 375th career win with the program.
Tyler Moss added a goal and an assist for the Easties (4-0). Greenwich dropped to 0-3.
