ROCKY HILL >> DeAaron Lawrence scored a game-high 26 points, including five 3-pointers, as Middletown ran away from Rocky Hill 78-56 on McCabe Court at Rocky Hill High School on Friday.
The Blue Dragons buried 12 three-pointers as a team. Ahmod Privott made three and Charles Sprowl added two as time was wishing down.
Privott finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Markevious Snead had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Tyshaun James chipped in 10 rebounds and six assists.
The Blue Dragons shut down the Terriers with suffocating defense and built a 35-24 lead by halftime.
Senior guard Alex Sikorski had 25 points for the Terriers (8-3).
The Blue Dragons (9-2) won their ninth game of the season going away and took over first place in the Central Connecticut Conference South White Division standings.
Middletown 66, Rocky Hill 53 >> At Middletown, senior center Brielle Wilborn led four players in double figures with 20 points to lead the Blue Dragons on Friday night.
Dominique Highsmith had 16 points, Amanda Fudge added 13 points, and Jenny Barbour chipped in 11 points for Middletown (12-1), which outscored the Terriers 23-12 in the fourth quarter.
Melanie Holmes had 14 points and Aleiksa Peterson added 13 points for Rocky Hill (8-3), which led 29-27 at halftime.
Mercy 54, Amity 35 >> At Middletown, Kameryn King scored 17 points and Meghan DeVille netted 16 points to lift the sixth-ranked Tigers (10-2) on Friday.
Amanda Granados had 15 points to lead the Spartans (6-5).
Cromwell 77, Creed 23 >> Jenna Serrantino scored 13 points and Vanessa Stolstajner chipped in 12 points to lead the host Panthers (10-3). Destiny Blackwood had 13 points for Creed (1-11).
East Hampton 44, Haddam-Killingworth 28 >> Gyanna Russell had 16 points and Lindsay Orbann added 11 points for the Bellringers (12-1).
Tara Murphy led the Cougars (2-8) with seven points.

Kendall Castro nad two goals and an assist, and Annie Alissi added a goal and an assist for Northwest Catholic/Mercy (4-6-1).
Chiara Signorelli had a goal and an assist for Ridgefield (1-8).
