Zach Davis rushed for 426 yards and four touchdowns on 42 carries for the Sheehan football team, which defeated Guilford 40-13 Friday night in a Southern Connecticut Conference Tier 3 game at Wallingford.
This is the third time this season Davis has topped 300 yards rushing. Danny James also scored for the Titans (1-3). Eryk Derda scored twice for Guilford (1-3).

Nico Ragaini made eight receptions for 221 yards for Notre Dame-West Haven, which handed Faifield Prep its first loss in a SCC Tier 1 game at Fairfield.
Quarterback Chris Elias completed 13-of-21 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns for the Green Knights (2-2). Josh Witkowsky added a pair of rushing touchdowns for Notre Dame.
Will Lucas connected with Michael Piroli for a 38-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter for the Jesuits (3-1).

Justin Grant ran for 107 yards and scored two touchdowns on 23 carries as Stafford/Somers/East Windsor defeated Nonnewaug 26-6. The Bulldogs improved to 4-0 for the first time since 1985 and only the third time in school history.
Grant also had a sack and a tackle for a loss. Nate LaJoie completed 8 of 21 passes for 119 yards. Mike Munson kicked two field goals. Joe Kopek had eight tackles, a tackle for a loss, a sack and a forced fumble.
Zach Mauro scored Nonnewaug’s touchdown in the second quarter.
“We did not play a good game tonight. I don’t know if it was the weather, or we lacked focus, but it was sloppy,” Stafford’s second-year coach Brian Mazzone said. “However, we’re excited to be 4-0 and what lies ahead. I can’t knock our effort.”
