Could it be that electric receiver Chris Kanios is back for Shelton??
It sure seems that way, according to teammate Kevin Robinson who posted a (pretty slick) photo of Kanios dressed in full Gaels gear — with, what is that, a bionic arm? — hours before Shelton’s game at home vs. Guilford (7 p.m.)
Kanios, who missed a good portion of last season due to a shoulder injury but still earned all-area honors with 1,091 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns, injured his shoulder again in June and missed the first two games of the season.
Shelton is looking to go 3-0 heading into next week’s game vs. Notre Dame-West Haven. Guilford’s hopes at pulling off an upset got doubly tough.
“Gentlemen. We can rebuild him. We have the technology.”
Kanios’ impending return means Shelton is only down receiver Alex Kirk who broke a bone in his foot during the preseason. Kirk is expected to return some time in October.
