GREENWICH >> Kevin Iobbi ran 41 times for 247 yards and four touchdowns as Greenwich won a 42-32 shootout victory over Trumbull in front of a loud homecoming crowd Saturday afternoon.
Iobbi also caught three passes for 46 yards.
Trumbull quarterback Johnny McElroy ran for a touchdown and threw two touchdown passes.
Zach Heche recovered an early fumble for Trumbull and Jeremiah Harris recovered a fumbled punt return for Greenwich, both of which led to scores in a 42-point quarter which saw the game tied 21-21 at halftime.
Trumbull took its second lead of the game on a 36-yard field goal by Ryan Ruff to start the second half. But Greenwich won the field position battle after that and scored two touchdowns to take a 35-24 lead early in the fourth quarter.
Trumbull got within 35-32 on a 30-yard touchdown pass from McElroy to Raverta and a 2-point conversion pass to Ryan Cranston with 5 minutes, 35 seconds left.
But Iobbi sealed it with a 58-yard touchdown run, his fourth of the game.
