Jalen Ollie, the former Glastonbury quarterback and son of UConn men’s basketball coach Kevin Ollie, announced his commitment to play football at Fordham next fall.
Ollie, who started at quarterback during a postgraduate year at Avon Old Farms, made the announcement on Twitter.
At Avon Old Farms, Ollie threw for 1,949 yards, and 19 touchdowns against six interceptions. He joins a stacked Avon Old Farms recruiting class that includes heralded TE Chris Clark (No. 8 in Ollie’s highlight video, above), who has committed to UCLA.
Previously, Ollie led Glastonbury to a 10-2 record and a spot in the Class LL playoffs as a senior in 2013. Glastonbury lost to Fairfield Prep in the state quarterfinals against future Fordham teammate and Prep QB Colton Smith.
