Bottom line: Got to wonder how Blue Wave would have done in D-I tourney if top scorer Brendan Hathaway didn’t fracture his ankle in FCIAC semis.
5. Xavier (13-7-2) 89 3 I
Final result: Lost 4-2 to Ridgefield in Division I quarterfinals.
Bottom line: Falcons go 6-1-1 to close the season.
6. St. Joseph (18-6-1) 72 6 I
Final result: Lost 5-2 to FCIAC rival Darien in Division I quarterfinals.
Bottom line: Cadets went 12-2-1 in their last 15 games.
7. Simsbury (15-7) 57 8 I
Final result: Lost 6-1 to Notre Dame-West Haven in Division I quarterfinals.
Bottom line: Trojans were one of the top teams in the north this season.
8. Hamden (10-9-3) 43 NR I
Final result: Lost 8-3 to Fairfield Prep in Division I quarterfinals.
Bottom line: Green Dragons return to Top 10 after solid win over Glastonbury in D-I first round game.
9. Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe (14-10) 29 NR II
Final result: Defeated East Catholic 4-3 in OT in the Division II championship.
Bottom line: Division II returns to Top 10 thanks to strong post-season run by Fairfield.
10. Notre Dame-Fairfield (11-10) 22 7 I
Final result: Lost 3-0 to Simsbury in Division I first round.
Bottom line: Lancers struggled late going 2-5 in their last seven games.
