“When I entered high school, I never fathomed scoring 2,000 points. It’s an honor,” Ostrowski said. “I’ve worked hard and dedicated my life to the sport of basketball. I’m glad to have been able to share this special moment with my teammates, coaches and family. They deserve the credit for where I am today.”
“This is a tremendous accomplishment for a tremendous person,” East Lyme coach Jeff Bernardi said. “Not too many players in Connecticut history have scored 2,000 points. He is an elite company. It’s an honor to call myself his coach.”
Ostrowski now has 2,010 career points.
