Evan Adams, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound guard at Norwalk, gave his verbal commitment to Syracuse on Thursday, boosting the growing Connecticut high school football class of 2015 Division I recruits.
Norwalk coach Sean Ireland confirmed the original report from Scout.com [subscription required] and announced the news on Twitter, Thursday night.

Adams had offers from UConn, Temple, Maryland and UMass, Ireland told GameTimeCT.
Adams, who also plays nose guard for the Bears, joins a group of Connecticut recruits that includes Suffield DB Jarvis Miller (Penn State), Fairfield Prep tackle Anthony Palazzolo (Boston College), and New Canaan DE Zach Allen (Northwestern).
Non-CIAC Division I recruits include: Taft QB Quentin Harris (Duke), Kingswood Oxford RB Sharrieff Grice (Boston College), Avon Old Farms DT Anthony Giudice (Syracuse) and Choate’s William Harris (Boston College).
