Ed Butt, head boys’ cross country coach at Brookfield and Brian Hayes, Immaculate cross country and track and field coach, will be holding the first ever Oregon Style Cross Country Running Camp this summer.
Held at Canterbury School in New Milford, Aug. 3-8, the mission of the camp is “to help distance runners strengthen their love for running and become the best that they can be. We believe that a combination of hard work and a smart training plan which includes good nutrition, goal setting, injury prevention and a positive mental attitude will help each runner achieve success and have a better overall experience.”
The camp is open to boys and girls ages 12-18. The camp is a sleepover or commuter camp.
Nicole Blood of the University of Oregon, and now head coach of Columbia University, is one of the featured speakers.
