WELCOME back to another episode of COURTSIDE with Joe Morelli, your weekly dose of boys basketball in Connecticut, including a weekly special guest.
This week’s guest star is 30-year, four-time state championship coach Ken Smith of Windsor, who — as always — has plenty to say about improving state of boys basketball in Connecticut.
Coach Smith touched on getting more exposure for players (his team is playing in the Hoophall Classic this weekend), improving the state tournament by separating the choice schools from the public schools until a tournament of champions the week after Mohegan Sun, and — of course — getting a shot clock employed in Connecticut.
