STRATFORD >> Shannon Quinlan scored three goals including two in overtime as Wilton defeated New Canaan to win the Class M girls lacrosse championship.
This is Wilton’s first title since 2006.
New Canaan, which led 3-2 at halftime, got a goal from Catherine Granito to the game to overtime with 3:31 remaining.
Annie Cornbrooks put Wilton ahead to stay in the overtime. Quinlan clinched it in the second overtime.
Hannah Wiltshire made 17 saves for the Warriors.
