Behind six first-place finishes, Brunswick School went 2-1 in its meet against Taft School, Kingswood-Oxford, and Hopkins School in a meet held Saturday in Watertown.
Taft went 3-0 in the meet, finishing with a team score of 95 points. Brunswick totaled 82 points, while Kingswood-Oxford was third (74) and Hopkins placed fourth.
For Brunswick, Tristan Joseph won the high jump event with a leap of 5 feet, 10 inches, tying his own school record. He also finished first in the 110-meter hurdles in 19 seconds. Harry Barringer won the long jump for the Bruins (18-8.75) and teammate Jack Withstandley had a first-place finish in the hurdles (45.2 seconds).
Jack Michalik was the 400-meter run winner for the Bruins 55.9 seconds. Barringer, Cornelius Johnson, Kevonne Wilder and Nadji Ngbokoli combined for a winning time of 43.9 seconds in the 4 x 100 relay.
Barringer was the runner-up in the javelin and 200-meter run, while Wilder took second in the long jump. Erik Anderson was second in the 110 hurdles and Johnson placed second in the 100 dash for the Bruins. Jason Agudelo, Withstandley, Caleb Boateng and Michalik produced a second-place finish in the 4 x 400 relay event.
