Brunswick School improved to 4-0 with a 10-1 victory against King School in a golf match held at Bedford Golf & Tennis Club on Monday. Charlie Marvin and Gabriel Mehra each earned medalist honors with a 38.
In Monday’s match against King, single points were awarded for medalist and individual match victories and two points were earned for low aggregate score of the top six golfers.
The Bruins posted seven individual wins and finished with an aggregate score of 240. King shot 284 as a team. At the No. 1 spot, Marvin shot a 38, while Mehra carded a 38 at No. 7.
Ben Carpenter posted a nine-hole round of 40 at the third spot and Bladen Smith (No. 2) and Owen Hayes (No. 6) each finished with a 41 for the Bruins. Chase Caffray (fourth spot) registered a 44, Aaron Aboodi shot a 45 (No. 5) and Owen Hayes (No. 6) posted a 41 for the victors.
Tyler Eichmann had a stellar round (No. 8) had a stellar round as well, shooting a 42. Seven players won their respective matches against King, with Marvin tying his.
Brunswick plays Portledge School today (Tuesday) at Old Westbury Golf & Tennis Club.
