Everyone is a critic but one gentlemen who commented on our site suggested I get a new job, “pal.”
Maybe this anonymous gentleman is right – maybe I should. Going 8-4, then 21-7 is not a very good percentage.
So I guess I will have to try and do better for the semifinal round:
Career vs. Hillhouse: The two Elm City rivals split during the regular season. Hillhouse put a defensive clinic on the last time these two teams played. “Big John” another of our favorite commentators, won’t like this pick. He feels we don’t give Career enough respect. The Panthers will play a heckuva lot better in this game, but Hillhouse seems to be rounding into form at the right time. HILLHOUSE.
Fairfield Prep vs. Wilbur Cross: Those who saw this game at East Haven last season remembers Prep benching its starters and Cross jumping out to a huge lead, only to blow it down the stretch. Cross I’m sure has been looking forward to a rematch for over a year now, but I still think Prep has too many offensive answers for the Governors. FAIRFIELD PREP.
Sacred Heart vs. Torrington: Torrington pulled a nice seeded upset against Kennedy. The Red Raiders had played Kennedy tough during the regular season, losing both games in overtime. Tonight is a tall order against a team that hasn’t lost since December. Torrington will hang for a awhile, but in the end…SACRED HEART.
Crosby at Wilby: Maybe the home court fans can provide some inspiration for the Wildcats. They have nothing to lose and got off to a good start the last time they faced Crosby. Then the Bulldogs ended up winning by 29. The game will be more competitive tonight, but the defending champion moves on. CROSBY.
Be back with more predictions on Tuesday.
