FINE PERFORMANCES

Jeff Madeia, Berlin: Scored a career-high 31 points in a 82-72 loss to Manchester.

Luke McGarrity, Ridgefield: Scored 33 points in just three quarters, including 6 of 8 from 3-point range, to help Ridgefield win at New Canaan 65-33.

Dustin Garrison, Windham Tech: Set a school record with nine 3-pointers in a 98-74 loss to Prince Tech. Brandon Martingano held the previous record with eight, set in 2013.

Lorenzo Washington, Sacred Heart: Scored 36 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Sacred Heart’s 108-90 win over Weaver.

Avery Hinnant, Naugatuck: Posted 22 points and 21 rebounds to help the Greyhounds beat Holy Cross 72-60.

Eric Miller, McMahon: Scored 31 points in a 77-75 loss to St. Joseph.

Justin Davis, Crosby: Scored 37 points in a 78-60 win over Ansonia.

A.J. Brooks, St. Paul: Posted a double-double (22 points, 20 rebounds) in St. Paul’s 81-45 win over Wolcott.

John Shannon, Foran: Scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half to help the Lions beat Cheshire 51-46 and qualify for postseason play.

Brian Belade, Shelton: Scored 24 of his 29 points in the second half and overtime to help the Gaels defeat North Haven 72-66.

Cade Ensinger, Valley Regional: Finished with a triple-double (20 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds) in Valley Regional’s 69-56 win over Morgan.

Max Mitchell, Notre Dame-Fairfield: Had 36 points and 11 rebounds in the Lancers’ 89-58 win over Brookfield.

GET OUT AND GO

Immaculate at Newtown, Tuesday, 7 p.m.: Middle of an important three-game road stretch for Immaculate that will help determine the SWC champion.

Bristol Central at Middletown, Thursday, 6:45 p.m.: Brutal three-game stretch for the Rams within a week’s time concludes with the Blue Dragons.

Trumbull vs. St. Joseph at Fairfield University, Friday, 7:45 p.m.: One of the final high school games in Alumni Hall. More importantly, a key game for the FCIAC race, not to mention town bragging rights.

Prince Tech at Wilbur Cross, Monday, 7 p.m.: Prince Tech will come into this game undefeated. Can the Governors keep Kazell Stewart from collecting another double-double?

St. Joseph at Fairfield Ludlowe, Monday, 7 p.m.: Right now, Ludlowe has a leg up in the FCIAC race after beating Staples last week.

OF NOTE

East Catholic’s Matt Knowling surpassed 1,000 career points in the Eagles’ 70-31 win over Bristol Central.

Zach Mihok from Parish Hill also surpassed 1,000 career points in a 60-42 loss to Aerospace.
