David Plourde struck out 11 and didn’t allow a hit in Goodwin Tech’s 6-0 win over Windham Tech on Wednesday.
Plourde allowed one base-runner on an error in the fourth inning, but immediately picked him off. He faced the minimum in a seven inning game.
Goodwin Tech scored three runs in the first inning on four walks and a hit by pitch. Paul Prior recorded the first hit of the game in the third and Chris Ryan drove him in on a ground out. The Gladiators scored two more unearned in the fourth.
This is the third no-hitter thrown by a Goodwin Tech pitcher in the last two seasons. Tommy Hughes and Casey Rival each threw one in 2016.
