Cade Walters, Ledyard: Dominated on the mound, going 2-0 with two complete-game shutouts, 16 strikeouts and 3 walks. At the plate, was 6-for-9 with three doubles, four RBIs and three runs. Anthony Mozzicato, East Catholic: Senior lefty struck out six and gave up just two hits in a complete-game, 4-0 win over Southington. Brett Fee, North Branford: Fee tossed a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a 6-1 Shoreline win over Coginchaug. Kristyan Martinez, Manchester: Senior went 8-for-13 with three runs scored and three RBIs last week. Brett Lauterbach, Warde: Tossed a three-hit, complete-game shutout against rival Ludlowe, 8-0. The win also clinched a state tourney spot for Warde. Ryan Strollo, Cheshire: Senior hit for the cycle, going 5-for-5 with eight RBIs and three runs in top-ranked Cheshire’s 14-4 win over North Haven. Jack Jordan, New Canaan: Jordan was sharp, pitching a complete game in 4-3 win at Ridgefield. Nick Bontempo, New Milford: Batted .865 with two doubles and five RBIs for the Green Wave. GAMES TO WATCH University/Classical Magnet at Civic Leadership, Tue. 3:30 p.m.: University/Classical Magnet (12-2) looking to lock up first place in the CRAL. Ridgefield at Westhill, Tue. 4 p.m.: The winner stays alive while the loser is eliminated from FCIAC playoff contention. Newtown at New Milford, Tue. 4 p.m.: Newtown has won 14 straight, New Milford 10-1 in past 11 and in SWC play. Glastonbury at Wethersfield, Wed. 5:15 p.m.: No tournament in the CCC, so, this will have to do. Both teams are 13-3. Cheshire at Amity, Wed. 7 p.m.: Spartans taking their shot at state’s unanimous No. 1. Fairfield Prep at Xavier, Wed. 7 p.m.: The preseason No. 1, Fairfield Prep, needs to win final two games to qualify for state tournament. Montville at Lyman Memorial, Thu. 4: Both teams looking at high seeds in states, Montvile (14-3) in Class M, Lyman (13-3) in Class S. A win here may add an extra home game. St. Paul at St. Joseph, Thu. 4:15 p.m.: They have been trying to get this FCIAC-NVL matchup in since the first week of the season but weather never cooperated. Newtown at Bethel, Thu. 6 p.m.: Can the Nighthawks run the table in the SWC? Bethel will have something to say about it. Shepaug Valley at Northwestern, Fri. 3:45 p.m.: Top spot in the Berkshire League on the line. Shepaug is 14-2, Northwestern is 13-2. Haddam-Killingworth at Coventry, Fri. 4 p.m.: Shoreline vs NCCC a nice appetizer for the upcoming state tournament. HK (13-4) in Class M, Coventry (14-2) in Class S.
