Northwest Catholic

(April 8): On just 93 pitches, the Bryant University commit no-hit Granby for the first no-no of the 2016 season. The Lions beat the Bears 2-0.

(April 9): Threw a combined no-hitter in a 15-0 Cougars win over Whitney Tech.

(April 13): Threw the first of two Gladiator no-hitters vs. Vinal Tech this season. Goodwin Tech won 14-0.

(April 21): Rosa went seven innings and allowed one run (unearned), walked three and struck out 13 on 93 pitches in an 8-1 win over Windsor Locks. It was the second straight no-hitter thrown by the Knights.

(April 27): Struck out six and walked none in the Mountaineers 4-0 win over Litchfield.


Matt Cleveland & Patrick Hawkins

Windsor

(April 28): Combined to no-hit Farmington, but walked seven and threw six wild pitches/passed balls and LOST to Farmington, 4-2.

In the most bizarre of games, Farmington gets no-hit by Windsor, yet still wins the game 4-2 thanks to great pitching by Alex Roldan

Branford

(May 2): Kmietek struck out five in Branford’s 3-0 SCC Oronoque Division win over North Haven.


David Stiehl

Cheshire Academy

(May 4): The former Manchester standout pitcher threw an 83 pitch, nine strikeout no-hitter in Cheshire Academy’s 7-0 win over Wilbraham & Monson Academy. He walked one with two out in the fourth for the only base-runner of the game.

Stiehl is in his post-grad year at Cheshire Academy and has committed to play baseball at Northeastern University next year.

(May 23): On Senior Day, Evan Carollo threw a perfect game by striking out 13 on 75 pitches in the Lawmen’s 9-0 win over Hale-Ray.
