The 2018 FCIAC Girls Basketball Tournament will begin with quarterfinals Saturday, Feb. 17 at Norwalk and Wilton and concludes with semifinals on Feb. 20 and the championship on Feb. 22, both at Fairfield Ludlowe.
Trumbull is the defending champion and the tournament’s top seed after finishing 15-1 in the FCIAC and will face No. 8 Darien (9-7 FCIAC) in the quarterfinals. Norwalk (13-3) is the No. 4 seed and plays No. 5 Stamford (12-4). Though Trumbull is the No. 1 seed, because the school is hosting CIAC wrestling championships on Saturdafy, the site has been moved to Norwalk.
On the other side of the bracket, Wilton (13-3 FCIAC) is the No. 2 seed and faces No. 7 Staples (11-5). No. 3-seeded Warde (13-3) faces No. 6 Ridgefield (12-4).
