It’s a few weeks behind schedule (we’re all so very busy), but Gerry deSimas of the Collinsville Press, has released the latest edition of the Connecticut High School Football Record Book.
For the uninitiated, this is the official unofficial all-time record book compiled by deSimas and the New Haven Register’s Bob Barton. They do a fabulous job keeping tabs on all kinds of statistics from over the years and give the rest of us perspective on where our local stars stand in the grand scheme of football played in Connecticut.
As we say every year, make sure you give them a shout out. This is a tremendous undertaking and we can’t thank these gentlemen enough.
You can read about some of this year’s updates — which include Sheehan’s Zach Davis, Foran’s Brett Huber, Middletown’s Michael Aresco, Wethersfield’s Austin Stefano and that wacky Waterbury Career v. Sacred Heart/Kaynor Tech pinball machine game, which set the all-time record for combined points in a game (142) — on deSimas’ site, CollinsvillePress.com, which covers all things in the Farmington Valley region.
We’ve provided the latest edition, below.
