Most Valuable Performer
Stats: At the New England Championships was second in the 1000 (2:50.68), at the State Open she won the 1000 in a meet record 2:50.26 and won the 1600 in 4:53.88, at Class L she won the 1000 (2:52.97, meet record) and was second in the 1600 (5:07.18).
Honors: Also All-Area for outdoor track.
Off the track: National Honor Society, Elm City Youth Club, Anti-Bullying club, Girls Biking club.
Up next: Will compete for Penn State University beginning next fall.
Coach of the Year
Stats: Led the Tigers to the SCC West Sectional title with 97 points, SCC meet team title with 62 points and runner-up finish in Class L with 41 points. The Tigers were led in Class L with wins by Bridgid Selfors (3200) and Ava Coleman (pole vault). Mercy also won the West Sectionals and SCC meet title in 2015.
Honors: Selected SCC Indoor Track Coach of the Year.
Stats: In the 1000, third at the State Open (2:57.86), second at Class S (3:01.88). At the Shoreline Conference meet, won the 600 in 1:41 and ran a leg of the winning 1600 sprint medley relay (4:16.05).
Honors: All-Shoreline and coaches all-state selection.
Off the track: Spanish Honor Society, also competes in cross country and outdoor track, dance.
Stats: Won the pole vault at Class L (10-0), fourth at the State Open (10-0) and won it at the SCC meet (9-6). Was fourth in the 55 hurdles (9.19) at the State Open and won it at the SCC meet (8.98).
Honors: All-SCC and coaches all-state selection.
Off the track: National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, high honors, student body co-president.
Up next: Will compete in the pole vault at Villanova next season.
Stats: At New England Championships was fifth in the 1600 in a school record 5:06.90, fifth in the State Open (5:10.03), sixth in Class LL (5:20.81) and second in SCC meet (5:12.01).
Honors: Three-time All-Area pick in cross country. Second team All-SCC, All-New England pick.
Off the track: Competes in outdoor track and cross country, Spanish National Honor Society, president of Amity’s Go Red for Women club.
Stats: At Class S, won the 1600 (5:08.06) and 1000 (2:56.96). Led Coginchaug to the team title at the Shoreline Conference meet with wins in the 1000 (3:00.59) and the 1600 (5:06.89, meet record). Was second in the mile at the Millrose Games (4:50.6).
Honors: All-Shoreline, All-State and All-Area for outdoor track.
Off the track: National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society.
Up next: Will compete in track and cross country at the University of Georgia with her sister Samantha.
Stats: In the 1600, third at New England Championships (5:04.43), fourth at State Open (5:08.41) and second at Class S (5:13.19). In the 3200, second at Class S (11:11.79) and won at the Shoreline Conference meet (11:20.55).
Honors: All-Shoreline, All-New England, cross country Area MVP last fall.
Off the track: National Honor Society.
Up next: Will compete in track at the University of Georgia.
East Haven, senior
Stats: At Class M she won the 300 (43.18, school record) and ran a leg of the 4×200 relay that finished second (1:50.89). Also member of the 4×100 team that competed in New Balance Nationals.
Honors: Two-time All-Area in soccer and 2015 Area soccer MVP
Off the track: Honor student.
Up next: Signed a letter of intent to play soccer at University of New Hampshire.
Stats: At Class L won the 300 in a meet record 39.98 seconds and won the 55 dash in 7.19. At State Open won the 300 (40.36) and fourth in 55 (7.31). At New England meet, took third in 300 (40.01) and fifth in 55 (7.31). At SCC meet won the 55 (7.33) and 300 (41.66). First in 200 and 400 at Yale Track Classic. Holds school records in 55, 60, 300 and 400.
Honors: All-SCC, SCC meet most outstanding performer, two-time All-State pick.
Off the track: SCC Scholar Athlete of the Month, honor student, also plays lacrosse, member of Science Olympiad club, high school band, student council, diversity club.
Stats: Eighth in the 1000 at the New England meet (2:59.36, personal best), fourth at the State Open (3:00.35), third at Class S (3:02.19) and won the NVL meet (3:05.47).
Honors: All-NVL selection.
Off the track: National Honor Society, Italian National Honor Society and 2016 class vice president.
Old Saybrook, senior
Stats: In the pole vault she was second at the State Open (10-6), won it at Class S (10-6) and won it in a meet record 10-7 at the Shoreline Conference meet. She set a personal best at the Bacon Invitational in the pole vault (10-7). Won the high jump at the Shoreline meet (5-0).
Honors: All-Shoreline, All-State, Shoreline Scholar Athlete.
Off the track: Also participates in outdoor track.
Up next: Considering Kutztown and Salisbury.
Stats: In the long jump she was fourth at the New England Championships (17-4.5), third at the State Open (17-9, school record), won at the Class LL (17-4.5), and the SCC meet (17-1). Fourth in the 55 dash (7.64) at the SCC meet.
Honors: Two-time All-SCC, All-State and All-Area.
Off the track: Young Republicans club, Botany club.
Stats: At Class M she won the long jump (16-9.75). At the State Open she was sixth in the event (16-6.5) and fourth at the SCC meet (16-2). Set personal records in the long jump (16-9.75), 55 dash (7.89), high jump (4-10) and 4×200 relay (1:53.89). Holds the school indoor track record in the long jump, high jump and 4×200. Qualified for the first time for New England meet (22nd in long jump, 15-10).
Off the track: National Honor Society, also competes in cross country, Three-time SCC All-Academic team member. Teens For Service community service group.
Stats: In the shot put, set a school record at the New England Championships with a second-place throw of 43-5.5. Was second in the shot put at the State Open (40-3) and won it at the Class LL (41-1.25) and the SCC meet (42-6).
Honors: All-SCC, All-State.
Off the track: National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, will be captain of the volleyball and indoor track teams next season.
Stats: At State Open fifth in 1000 (3:02.22, personal best), at Class LL third in 1000 (3:05.83), at New England 15th in 1000 (3:04.55) and at SCC meet won the 1000 (3:06.82).
Honors: All-SCC selection.
Off the track: All-SCC pick in cross country.

Stats: At Class M meet, finished second in the long jump (16-5), at State Open fifth in long jump (16-10.75) and at SCC second in long jump (16-10).
