Sabrina Olsen Area-MVP
Thomaston, Sr.

Stats: Won the Class S state championship in the 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs, won the State Open in the steeplechase for the third year in a row, won the Berkshire League championship in the 4 X 800 relay, 800, 1,600, 3,200 and the steeplechase and she qualified for the New England Championships in the 1,600 and 3,200.
Honors: Four-time All-New England, nine-time All-State and seven-time Berkshire League All-Star, she also leaves school holding 13 school records.
College: She will run outdoor track, indoor track and cross country at Syracuse University.

Ailene Berry
Lewis Mills, Soph

Stats: Won the Berkshire League in the 300 hurdles and the long jump, she came in third place at the Class M state meet in the 300 meter hurdles.
Honors: Berkshire-League All-Star
Off the track: Berkshire Scholar Athlete, Honors

Katie Heacox
Housatonic, Sr.

Stats: Won the hammer throw at the State Open for the second straight season, won Class S state title in the shot put, won the Berkshire League championship in the shot put and hammer throw. She came in fifth place in the shot put at the State Open and in seventh in the hammer throw at the New England’s.
College: She will throw at Southern Connecticut State University.

Kendra Covington
Torrington, Jr.

Stats: Won the NVL title in the shot put, came in second at the Class MM meet and ninth in the State Opens. She finished in sixth place in the discus at the NVL championships.

Alex Charest
Nonnewaug, Jr.

Stats: Won the Berkshire League title in the 100 meter hurdles, the pole vault and the triple jump and came in second place in the 300 meter hurdles.
Honors: All-State

Sammi Breier
Thomaston, Soph.

Stats: Finished in second place in the 3,200 at the Class S meet and at the Berkshire League championships, behind teammates Sabrina Olsen and won the 4 X 800 at the Berkshire League championships.
Honors: Berkshire-League All-Star and Berkshire-League All-Star in cross county.

Chelsea Hayward
Litchfield, Sr.

Stats: Won the Berkshire League title in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes, came in second in 200 meter dash and in third at 100 meter dash at the Class S state meet and came in third place in the 200 meter dash at the State Open.
College: She will run at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Samantha Moravsky
Shepaug, Soph.

Stats: Won the Class S state title and the Berkshire League title in the javelin, she owns the school record in the javelin throw of 119’ 7.”
Honors: Berkshire-League All-Star
Off the track: Scholar Athlete, student council representative, peer leadership attendee and National Society of High School Scholars member.

Abrah Toomey

Housatonic, Sr.

Stats: Won the Berkshire League title in the discus throw and in third place at the Class S state meet in the javelin throw and came in ninth in the javelin at the State Open.
Honors: All-State
College: Central Connecticut State University.

Mae Mathews
Nonnewaug, Fresh.

Stats: Won the Berkshire League title in the high jump and came in second place in the triple jump.
Honors: Berkshire-League All-Star, all-area indoor track and field.
