Comments

  1. ACL says

I would hope so. The program is in its infancy (2nd season of varsity) so they are playing a D3 schedule. Not only that, Amity is a LL school. What kind of schedule would you expect them to play?

The bottom line is they are playing the type of schedule they should be playing at this point in the program’s development.

  2. north haven is good but not top 10 says

it should be noted in the article that there recent success is based on the hard work of the players and coaches, possibly praising the youth coaches who have worked with this group and also on the ease of their schedule. Beating Cross, west haven, lyman hall, law, etc is not the same as teams that play Simsbury, Barlow, Hand, Prep, etc.

  3. The Dude says

Foran is further ahead that most of the other programs across the state that have been around for the same amount of time. But them being a current 4 seed in Class M? As of right now a potential second round matchup with New Canaan? There is a good chance that they could lose by 25.

    • north haven is good but not top 10 says

strength of schedule needs to be considered at some point in high school sports like football and lacrosse. Foran football probably should have been a playoff team, their losses were to 3 much larger schools. Foran lacrosse like the dude said should not be a high seed. Wilton is a good example of the need for seeding. They were 17th last year and won their play in game against North Haven then went on to win the whole thing. Wilton is 5-8 this year but should probably be in the top ten over north haven based on who they’ve played.
