Shepaug earned its fifth victory of the season, defeating Housatonic 171-209. The Spartans’ Robert McCarthy was the medalist of the match, shooting a 37. Shepaug’s Griffin Ylagan shot a 40. Housatonic’s James Huften Jr. and Liam Grimaldi both shot a 50. Shepaug is 5-3, Housatonic is 0-4.

Litchfield 189, Lewis Mills 191 >> Litchfield edged Lewis Mills behind a strong round from Nathan Leigh. Litchfield’s Leigh was the medalist of the match, shooting a 42. Joe D’Andrea shot a 48. Lewis Mills’ Jordan Gilbert and Tyler Goulet both shot a 46. Litchfield is 6-3, Lewis Mills is 3-4.

Thomaston 5, Abbott Tech 4 >> Despite a late rally by Abbott Tech, Thomaston came away with the victory. The Golden Bears’ Blaise Russo picked up the victory, striking out eight. Brian Butkevicius earned a save. Mike Millius went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases. Russo, Jake Tehan and Dan LaVassuer each went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Abbott Tech’s Mike Beardsley picked up the loss.

Nonnewaug 13, Litchfield 7 >> Helped by a seven run fifth inning, Nonnewaug defeated Litchfield. The Chiefs’ Charlie Timme picked up the win, striking out two. The Cowboys’ Matt McCarthy got the loss, striking out two. Chris Pillis, Jay Emanuel and RJ Burke each had two hits for Nonnewaug. Litchfield’s Nick Andro recorded a two-run single. Both Nonnewaug and Litchfield are 2-6.

Nonnewaug 40, Litchfield 0 >> Nonnewaug cruised to victory over Litchfield. The Chiefs’ Victoria Heavens picked up the victory, striking out eight. Marisa Valente recorded seven hits and seven RBI’s. Hannha Molin and Lindsay Hilpertshauer each drove in five runs. Antoinette Nastri recorded five hits. Litchfield’s JJ Polityka picked up the loss, striking out one.

Wamogo 14 Gilbert 3 >> Behind a 4-for-4 day by Sydney Bado, two doubles, triple and three RBI the Warrios cruised past the Yellowjackets. Malia Rebot struck out nine in the win for Wamogo. Wamogo is 4-5 and Gilbert is 2-7.

Lewis Mills 4, Wamogo 0 >> Lewis Mills improved to 5-2 for the season with a rain shortened victory against Wamogo. The Spartans’ Holden Robinson defeated Zach Shemms 6-1, 6-1. Lewis Mills’ doubles team of Jay Cizeski and Eric Jameson defeated Matt Sunderland and Kevin Fenn 7-5, 6-4.

    There is an error in the Thomaston/Abbott Tech baseball box score. Anthony Moura should be credited with the first RBI for Thomaston. He drove in Mike Milius with a sacrifice bunt in the first inning.
