    Tuesday? What in the hell?

Why even have a Week 12 if they’re going to play on Tuesday? Isn’t the whole point of this abbreviated playoff schedule to, you know, preserve Thanksgiving traditions?

44 games this year, and dwindling.

  2. Burnt turkey says

Went to the Game last night . It felt like a preseason scrimmage. It seemed like less than 100 in attendance. No one to sing the national anthem. No p.a. system. Not enough guys for the chain gang .Lights flickering, what a joke! Oh not to mention that you can’t play on that field after it rains because your ankles will be consumed by the mud due to the filled in wetlands below. In my opinion this is the worst field to view or play in any high school game in the state. Too bad for all the seniors on both teams! H-K football wasted their money for lights on a new swamp!

  3. New York East says

Sean, Your info on Morgan was incorrect or lacking. Jake Ward is not ‘probably’ the best runner in The
Pequot, he is the best runner & second in the state behind Newsome of Ansonia with 2286 yds &
39 TDs. Also, you failed to mention that Morgan has already qualified for states & is waiting for
things to shake out on Thursday in regards to seeding ( they could be as low as a 7 or as high
as a 3)! You were spot on about their line; it’s awesome!

@NYEast. Didn’t write it (many of these were written before last week’s games). But I can definitely fix the yardage and the playoff info (except that part about “is the best runner.”) We can’t make such declarations.

  4. Jim says

I like Bethel in a must win situation at home and on a bad weather day. All these things favor Bethel. While Brookfield is always a contender, Bethel takes this game for the 3rd year in a row.

  5. Hsfootballlover says

When is Conn going to finally build a domed stadium that will will hold up to 20,000 spectators just for this time of yr. It’s not fair to the kids to have to play outside in this cold every yr. (I won’t even mention the spectators).:)
