Submit your Thanksgiving Week PLAYS of the WEEK!

Calling all high school football coaches, players or parents: Did someone on your team make a spectacular or clutch play on Thanksgiving week?

This Thanksgiving week was one of the all-time greats… Darien-New Canaan, New London-NFA, Holy Cross-Wolcott, Cross-Hillhouse, Gilbert/Northwestern-Housatonic, Prep-West Haven. Playoff berths and Thanksgiving Day trophies were won and lost.  So make sure the rest of the state gets to see your feats of daring do by submitting a video for our popular ‘Plays of the Week’ feature.

The previous week’s games are also accepted.

The best plays will be compiled and shown in a video released Monday night before the playoffs.

For consideration, just send us your video link to sbowley@nhregister.com or Tweet a link at @spbowley. or @gametimect. On Tuesday, we’ll compile the Top 10 into a video posted on Gametimect.com sometime during the week.

We accept public Hudl links, which is the preferred way since we just need the link . YouTube or Vimeo videos are preferred for sound.

Your video must be your own work. It cannot be used from a third party without permission.

If you have another way to get it to us, by all means…

If your play makes the cut, it will be featured on our weekly highlight reel.

Week 1 isn’t a video. It was actually a YouTube clips of all the games we saw Week 1, giving us the idea of Plays of the Week.

Sean -- or SPB -- is a Woodbridge native and an alumnus of Amity Regional and Syracuse University who has covered high school sports in Connecticut for over two decades, beginning at Elm City Newspapers and Connecticut Post, now as editor of GameTimeCT.com. Sean has won numerous national and regional honors and is best known for his innovative and comprehensive coverage of Connecticut high school football. A ski and movie aficionado during off-seasons, he still calls Greater New Haven home.
