Junior pitched a complete game shutout in a 4-0 win over King and had two doubles and a single in a 3-2 win over Hopkins.

HONOR ROLL

Ryan Axtell, Law golf: Senior captain shot a 4-over-par 39 at Pine Orchard Country Club against Branford and shot a 43 at Alling Memorial GC against Wilbur Cross. Axtell leads the team in stroke average.

John Amendola, Notre Dame-West Haven baseball:
Senior struck out five while going the distance in a 5-2 win over Fairfield Prep. Amendola earned the win in relief against Xavier (3-2) and a save against Cheshire (5-2).

Raeanne Geffert, Seymour softball

Sophomore tossed a one-hitter with 18 strikeouts in a 14-0 win over Crosby, threw another one-hitter with 14 strikeouts and contributed three hits in a 10-0 win over Wolcott and tossed a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and helped herself with two RBIs in a 8-0 win over Holy Cross.

HONOR ROLL

Casey Harding, Cheshire softball: Junior had a walk-off, three-run home run to lift the Rams to a 6-3 win over Amity.

Jenna DiLorenzo, Amity softball: Junior had a solo home run, a two-run triple and she threw a runner out at the plate from center field in a 5-2 win over Sacred Heart Academy on Friday.

    Ginnetti said his favorite sports memory was winning the Fairchester League tournament last year? Didn’t they lose to Hopkins in the finals…
