  1. CT HS Hockey Fan says

Notre Dame – West Haven will struggle a lot this year. Watched them in the jamboree and they didn’t look like a strong division 1 team that they usually are. They are very weak on defense and in net and have very little depth on offense and was not impressed with the coach at all. Lot of complaints from parents and players back when he was coach at Lyman Hall and starting to hear some already before the season has even started. In Division 1 this year the 2 teams to beat will be Fairfield Prep and Notre Dame – Fairfield. Also look for Darien and possibly East Haven to be in the mix this year. In Division 2 look for the top teams to all be in the SCC. Branford, Cheshire, Daniel Hand, and North Haven are all in the top 5 best teams along with East Catholic. In Division 3 look for New Fairfield to be the top team all season long with teams like Masuk, Sheehan, Tritown, and Newtown to be top all year as well. Looking forward to an exciting season in all divisions!

      Ok CT Hockey Fan,
#1 Who cares what the parents of a bottom feeding Lyman Hall thinks #2 I know your not a custom to how it works at ND and it’s really none of your concern but just so you know If parents are complaining there then oh boy they should stop because it goes a little like this. Do NOT ASKED ABOUT YOUR KIDS PLAYING TIME OR CRITICIZE a coach because if you do your kid won’t play. That shuts up all the f’n parents that know nothing about nothing. Parents don’t belong at practice I dont care if he’s Steve fucking Yzerman stay out of the way. I don’t know where theres parents think they have a opinion. Stay out of the coaches Business. trust me those parents will be well trained by seasons end or they won’t be watching Hockey. Belcher was a great Player in HS and College and doesn’t need to prove himself to anyone. and CT Hockey fan what do you eves drop in conversations that are not yours. Timmy will be just fine and be in the top game taking what was are’s for last year and don’t be crying about it. TB you got this you know. Pay no attention to these jokers

Prep will be tested immediately this year. 1st 7 games of the season? At #4 Ridgefield, #3 Darien, Mt. St. Charles Tourney (3 games), #2 ND WH, and #5 ND Ffld at Webster Bank Arena. And it continues…no ‘easy wins’ anywhere. LaSalle Academy (RI), West Haven, Don Bosco (NJ), Xavier, Hamden, Darien, ND Ffld, Delbarton (NJ), Ridgefield, Catholic Memorial (MA), ND WH, Hamden, East Haven. What a schedule!!!!!!

      • Bobby Hull says

They do it in Lacrosse too. That is what very good programs do. Battle test your kids everyday and make them prepare to be the best.

      • Hand Fan says

Football the most. Not a big faifield county fan but I give prep tons if credit for how competitive they make their schedule.
