  1. john frione says

The game cannot end the way it did without a ciac ruling, in the sixth inning

Cory Williams enter the sixth inning to pitch hit for the designated hitter , Cory was not announced to the umpire has a pinch hitter, he grounded out to the second and went back to the dugout, the inning ended with East haven up 7 to 4, the last inning Branford loads the bases and is down 7 to 5, Cory comes up for the second time not announced, double in three runs, Butch Johnson the east haven coach comes to home plate tells the umpire behind the plate, they do not have Cory in the book after a couple of minutes the umpire rules Cory is out game over, this needs to be looked at, if this happened in the sixth Cory is out but now that he batted in the seventh does the rule get carried over?

I believe once he enters the game and the next batter is faced, no further objections to the new batter can be made.
