Baseball

East Hampton 4, Hale-Ray 3 >> The Bellringers rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh to edge the Noises Monday at Moodus.

Matt Sevigny’s RBI double and Steve Peltier’s game winning RBI single highlighted East Hampton’s late uprising.

Zac Harrington struck out seven to earn the win for the Bellringers (5-1).

Jon Comer had five strikeouts for Hale-Ray (1-4).

Haddam-Killingworth 3, Old Lyme 1 >> Senior lefthander Griffin Bremer (4-0) struck out 13 and allowed only three hits to lead the Cougars on Monday at Higganum.

Ty Schuler had two hits and three RBI’s while Joe Aitken also had two hits for H-K (5-1).

Old Lyme fell to 3-3.

Vinal Tech 14, Abbott Tech 7 >> At Middletown, Brandon Winzer went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI’s, while Ryan Fazzino went 3-for-5 with an RBI and three stolen bases to power the Hawks.

Josh Mollica was the winning pitcher for Vinal Tech (5-1).

Coginchaug 6, Old Saybrook 5 >> At Durham, the Blue Devils snapped a five-game losing skid behind a complete game pitching performance from John Mormile.

Charlie Anderson had two hits, including a double and two runs scored for Coginchaug.

Cromwell 8, North Branford 5 >> The host Panthers improved to 7-0 with a SLC win at Monnes Field. Jake Regula earned the pitching win.

North Branford fell to 3-4.

Fairfield Prep 8, Xavier 5 (8) >> The Jesuits (7-0) remained unbeaten with an SCC victory at Middletown’s Palmer Field.

Kevin Stone (3-0) earned the pitching win. Stone also had a key two-run hit in the top of the eighth.

C.J. Caprio had a solo homer for the Falcons (3-2).

Softball

Morgan 9, Valley Regional 0 >> At Clinton, sophomore pitcher Emily Popp allowed just two hits and struck out seven to lead the Huskies.

Kelsey Donaldson went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI’s, Lilly Dawson was 3-for-4 with a double, and Jen Dawson homered and had two RBI’s for Morgan (3-2).

Paige LaCasse and Sadie Swap had one hit apiece for the Warriors (2-for-3).

Westbrook 17, Portland 4 (6) >> Hannah Babisi was the winning pitcher for the Knights at Portland (0-3).

East Hampton 5, Hale-Ray 4 >> Kaylie Ryan went 3-for-4 with two triples and two RBI’s to lead the visiting Bellringers (1-0).

Cailey Botteon went 2-for-3 with a home run for the Noises (1-3).

Haddam-Killingworth 12, Old Lyme 0 (5) >> At Higganum, Meghan Cerino had two hits, including a triple, and four RBI’s, and Lauren McCann also tripled, singled and drove in three runs for the Cougars (4-1).

Old Lyme fell to 0-3.

Plainville 8, Middletown 6 >> Maddy Landry had a three-run homer and Kayla Brown had a two-run homer for the visiting Blue Dragons.

North Branford 6, Cromwell 2 >> Mallory Leone and Taylor Polizonis each had two hits, and Megan Fazekas had a triple for the host Panthers (2-3).

Lindsey Golia was the winning pitcher for the T-birds (4-2).

Abbott Tech 14, Vinal Tech 4 >> At Danbury, Karen Agogliati went 2-for-4, Angela Sidorski had two RBI’s and pitcher Jasmyn Patterson had six strikeouts for the Hawks (1-3).

Boys Tennis

Conard 7, Middletown 0 >> Conard’s Matt Giuffrida topped the Blue Dragons’ Alex Kordonsky, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.

Conard is 3-0, while Middletown fell to 0-3.

Cromwell 4, Coginchaug 3 >> At Durham, Garrett D’Amato and Sam Temple notched a win at first doubles, while Kyle Judson captured a three-set singles win for the Blue Devils.

Girls Tennis

Hall 5, Middletown 2 >> The Blue Dragons’ doubles tandems of Amanda Bowen and Marissa Bowen, and Isabel Gamble and Amy Kozlowski rolled to straight set wins Monday at West Hartford.

Coginchaug 7, Cromwell 0 >> Melanie Frank, Emma Roth and Samantha Turley cruised to singles wins for the visiting Blue Devils.

Hamden 5, Mercy 2 >> At Wesleyan, the Tigers (1-5) got doubles wins from the tandems of Summer Klotzback and Meghan Tomassetti, and Taylor Martin and Katie Russo.

Hamden is 3-2.

Valley Regional 5, Haddam-Killingworth 2 >> At Higganum, the Warriors swept the three doubles matches behind the tandems of Lexie Riggio and Hannah VanBenschoten, Callie Riggio and Lucy Burr, and Caitlin Farley and Maddy Ball.

Boys Golf

Xavier 153, Amity 165 >> At Portland Golf Course, Xavier’s Alex Jenkins and Amity’s Brent Marieb shared medalist honors by each shooting a 37.

The Falcons (3-0) scoring line-up also included Bryan Stanton (38), Dan Higgins (39), and AJ Sanzaro (39).

Valley Regional 184, East Hampton 205 >> Joe diTommaso and Justin Craco led the Warriors (1-0) by each shooting a 42.

Also scoring for Valley were Ethan Thompson (49), Luke Gagnon (51), and Keegan Bauman (53).

The Bellringers were led by medalist Josh Basil, who shot 41. Colin Parks (53), Roy Morassini (54) and Alex Basil (57) also scored for East Hampton (0-1).

Portland 174, North Branford 209 >> At Tradition Golf Course (Wallingford), Portland’s Nick Piersall and North Branford’s Brendon Appi shared medalist honors by each shooting a 42.

The Highlanders were also led by Timmy Leonard (43), Jon Twichell (44) and Jimmy Kelley (45).

The T-birds’ scoring lineup included Nick Johnson (48), Kyle Ricci (59) and Will McEwen (60).

O’Brien Tech 188, Vinal Tech 217 >> At Orange Hills, O’Brien Tech’s Austin Mather, who shot a 45, was the medalist.

The Hawks (2-4) were led by Austin Urban (50) and Bobby Pasculano (52).

Girls Lacrosse

Mercy 9, West Haven 8 >> At Middletown, Emma Bonaasar and Casey Nelson had three goals apiece, and Danielle Richardson had a goal and four assists to lead the Tigers.

Gabriella Prisco had three goals and one assist for West Haven.
