All about Bryan: Battle-tested last season, Archino and his ability to make 30-plus saves a game against elite competition will be needed with talent the Cardinals graduated on both ends of the ice.

Eric Austin, Notre Dame-West Haven, Sr., F

All about Eric: A solid playmaker and scorer who had 11 goals and 10 assists last season in helping lead NDWH to the D-I final last season.

Matt Beck, Fairfield Prep, Sr., G

All about Matt: Most coaches in the state believe Prep has the two top goalies in the state and Beck is one of them. He had a 10-1 record and 1.76 goals-against average last season. He helped the Jesuits dominate state competition last season.

Matt Boulette, Fermi/Enfield/E. Granby/Stafford, Sr., F

All about Matt: At 6-2, 185 pounds, Boulette is a strong power forward who protects the puck and possesses a hard shot.

Chase Briggs, Hand, Sr., G

All about Chase: The Register All-Area player finished last season with a 2.50 goals-against average and .945 save percentage. He led the Tigers to the SCC tournament title and made 32 saves in a 4-2 win over Branford.

Sam Carignan, Hamden, Sr., F

All about Sam: With the top four scorers from last season either graduated or moved on to prep school, Carignan is the top returning scorer with seven goals and five assists. Carignan will have ample opportunity to showcase his quickness and ability to score from anywhere inside the blue line.

Ryan Corcoran, St. Joseph, Sr., F

All about Ryan: The Cadets lost a lot of talent to graduation and transfers. But some coaches believe Corcoran will help lead the Cadets to unexpected upsets with his two-way dominance on the ice. He had 32 points last season.

Matt Dumas, Notre Dame-West Haven, Sr., F

All about Matt: Scoring will be a plus for the Green Knights and Dumas is one reason why. He is expected to significantly increase his offensive output from last season (nine goals, 11 assists).

Mike Falanga, East Haven, Jr., F

All about Mike: The Easties are expected to have one of the highest scoring front lines this season and Falanga will center the top line. A Register All-Area selection, he had 48 points last season and should increase that number this season.

Chris Gutierrez, Fairfield Prep, Sr., G

All about Chris: Gutierrez is the other half of the highly-talented Prep goalie duo. He had a 10-0 record and 1.49 goals-against record last season in helping lead the Jesuits to a No. 1 finish in the Register Top 10 poll.

All about Tyler: A two-time Register All-Area selection, he had 18 goals and 19 assists last season. His quickness to the puck makes him an asset on both ends of the ice.

All about Frank: He played junior hockey the last two seasons and will made an immediate impact with his amazing hands and dominating shot.

Christian LaCroix, Notre Dame-Fairfield, Sr., F

All about Christian: The prolific scorer made the Register All-State third team last season. He is on the radar of every CIAC D-I coach this season with his dominance on both ends of the ice.

Dean Lockery, Fairfield Prep, Sr., F

All about Dean: The New Haven native helped lead the Jesuits to the 2013 CIAC Division I title with his work ethic and versatility to contribute in every phase on the ice. He had 14 goals and 14 assists will likely double that output this season.

Kyle Lynch, Notre Dame-West Haven, Jr., F

All about Kyle: Coaches around the state have been talking about the Lynch brothers. The speedy forward had 11 goals and nine assists last season.

All about Ryan: Excels on both ends of the ice and had 11 goals and 18 assists last season.

Conor Scharlop, Fairfield Warde-Ludlowe, Sr., D

All about Conor: One of the most prolific playmaking and offensive-minded defensemen in the state last season returns. He had eight goals and 32 assists last season.

Alex Scranton, West Haven, Sr., D

All about Alex: Tenacious back-line player who will be matched up against the top forwards in the state.

Adam Shea, Amity, Sr., F

All about Adam: Shea should be a dominant force on the D-II level with his leadership, scoring and playmaking ability. He had 31 points last season.

Liam Smith, Ridgefield, Jr., F

All about Liam: Last season’s first team Register All-State player has a great scoring touch and is a solid two-way player. Had two goals to lead the Tigers to a 5-4 win over St. Joseph in the FCIAC tournament championship game. He had 14 goals and 16 assists overall last season.

Harry Stanton, New Canaan, Sr., F

All about Harry: A solid scorer from anywhere on the ice, he was involved in all eight goals the Rams scored in the CIAC D-I tournament last season with six goals and two assists. Committed to play lacrosse at Wesleyan.

Tommy Watters, Darien, Sr., F

All about Tommy: Watters speed and quick-scoring ability will be showcased with most of the top scorers from last season graduated. Double-digit goals and assists are likely and needed against Darien’s tough schedule.

Zach White, Milford, Sr., F

All about Zach: His speed made him a prolific scorer last season with the most points in the New Haven area with 61 (30 goals, 31 assists). A Register All-Area selection last season.

All about Matt: The Jesuits lost their top three scorers from last season and Wikman is expected to fill in with his nose for the net. He had 18 goals and 11 assists last season.
