So Mercy’s run to the Sun would be 2nd round: Trumbull/Warde (should be a win but not easy by any means), Career round #4 in the quarters, and Lauralton rematch in the Semis.

My goodness. Hats off to them if they even get there. I’ve got Danbury in LL, as much as I hate to give the FCIAC credit, they have a much easier run as the #1 seed and the league is better than in the past I think.

doesnt seem to make sense having lh ahead of mercy? Laurelton played weak teams this past week. I realize they beat hc who was undefeated, but in my opinion, Hc is not a team in ct. The NVL is very weak. I doubt hc will make it past the 2nd rd in class M. Mercy lost in double ot to a good career team, both have one loss and mercy beat lh by 10 in head to head matchup

If you really care about the poll (only the last one really matters) why didn’t you ask why Mercy is ranked ahead of Career…they just lost to Career. Like it or not…WHEN you lose matters in polls.

true mercy lost in double ot, and beat career by 18, they also beat laurelton who career lost to, so I cant see how career should be ahead of mercy? Your logic doesn’t make any sense

Mercy had 12 wins against qualifying teams, LH had 14. That’s the difference. If North Haven had beaten Hamden last game of the year, they would have qualified and that might have pushed Mercy into the #2 spot because they beat North Haven.

I don’t completely understand the system but I think head-to-head wasn’t used because it was a 3-way tie with Danbury, so they used power points instead to break the 3-way tie. If it were 2-way between Mercy and LH then I think Mercy would have won on power points.
