Saturday was quite a blur for Norwich Free Academy’s boys basketball team.

Just hours before the team was set to take the floor in the nightcap of the Eastern Connecticut Conference tournament, they entertained a visit from one of the country’s biggest pop stars.

Robin Thicke, the artist behind 2013′s smash hit ‘Blurred Lines’, and a few friends stopped by the NFA gym to relax and shoot hoops before his concert at nearby Foxwoods Arena.

And NFA’s basketball players, of course, were more than happy to oblige.

The players were actually told a few days in advance that Thicke would be showing up and faithfully kept the visit a secret until he left.

Thicke happily posed with the players for selfies and took a group shot before jetting up to Foxwoods for his show.

“He was very gracious to all my players,” NFA coach Chris Guisti told The Day of New London. “He looked them in the eyes and shook their hands and asked their names.”

The starstruck NFA players didn’t let the episode get to their heads before their big quarterfinal game vs. Waterford. Despite trailing for good portions of the game, NFA rallied to win on senior guard and Boston College football recruit Marcus Outlow’s 3-point buzzer-beater to send the Wildcats to a 39-36 victory and into the ECC semifinals vs. Ledyard.

It was Outlow’s second, clutch buzzer-beater of the season.

Here’s a slo-mo look:

Yup. Just another day at NFA.
