I was disappointed in last night’s FNF playoff special w/Ned Griffin of The Day. Apparently there is no one
‘worthy’ of playing against Ansonia in class S. I can think of one or two, especially the team from Clinton
with it’s huge O-line & their excellent RB, second only to Ansonia’s great Newsome. If that comes about
it should be a great game!

    • UBilly says

NYEast – you have been pushing your RB as #2 back in the state the last few weeks and it is possible that statistically you are correct, but…are you seriously saying you would put him above Newsome, Phillips, Cooper?

  2. New York East says

Have you seen him run, UBilly? I’m not putting him above anybody. but he’s in the same class as
Newsome, Phillips & Cooper. & if you don’t believe it, come to Woodland on Tuesday & see for yourself!

    • Sean Patrick BowleySean Patrick Bowley says

I hear great things about him and everybody hopes for a good game out of the Huskies, who were 1-9 just a few years ago.

But… well, Valley Regional turned Morgan into mince meat back in October, as much as I love em, Valley’s no Ansonia.

We’ll see what Valley brings to the table if they face St. Joseph in the final.

As for Morgan, interesting first round match vs. Woodland. Better still, neither would face Ansonia until the final. And Cap Prep is scaring everybody after how they beat New London and how New London finished its regular season.

      I’m intrigued.

      • New York East says

For some reason(s) Morgan didn’t show up against Valley; it happens. Ansonia is
a great team with a storied background, but I’m sure of this; if it gets to an Ansonia-
Morgan showdown the huskies have all the respect & admiration for the chargers
but they’re not afraid of nor in awe of them!

  3. The Truth Hurts says

I hear that every year and then Ansonia rolls against teams that are not top 10 worthy. Is Morgan good, sure. Are they a top 15 team ,no.Ansonia walks through the S division playing their “C” game .I will give you a written apology if they can defeat Ansonia

  4. New York East says

Well, The Truth Hurts, if it gets to chargers-huskies at CCSU, they better not bring their “C” game, I can
    tell you that!

  5. New York East says

Sean, in regards to your mention of the Valley- Morgan game, the huskies were missing a huge
(both literally & figuratively speaking) member of their line; their 350 lb nose tackle. His absence
    hurt considerably that night!
