Posted by a Felix Rodriguez on Instagram via Twitter, this is kinda, sorta what Sacred Heart’s 64-62 Class S quarterfinal victory over East Hampton looked like.
Of course, it’s missing a ton of clutch East Hampton shots and doesn’t quite capture the nail-biting atmosphere. The Bellringers stayed within striking distance the entire way and had a chance at the win or tie with 6.9 seconds remaining only to miss the final shot.
But, to the victors go the spoils, right? Besides, there’s only a certain amount of seconds on these things. We’re pretty certain Mr. Rodriguez is a Hearts guy, and he had to economize one way or another.
By the way, Pitt recruit Mustapha Heron is wearing No. 33. According to Joe Palladino of the Republican-American, Mr. Herron left his real jersey at home.
For an ACCURATE look at what happened, here’s Joe Pal’s report.
Anyway, Sacred Heart advances to face Bloomfield, which routed Terryville in the other semifinal. Game on.
