Brunswick basketball team falls to Greens Farms Academy

Brunswick School’s basketball team concluded its regular season with a 57-40 road loss FAA rival Greens Farms Academy in a game held on Thursday in Westport.

The Bruins (5-15, 4-10) will compete on the road in the quarterfinal-round of the FAA Tournament on Tuesday.

Against Greens Farms on Thursday, the Bruins led early in the fi rst half lead, before falling behind the Dragons, 29-22, at halftime.

Greens Farms built a double-digit lead on its way to the win.

Sophomore guard Tristan Joseph paced Brunswick with a team-high 16 points. Joseph converted three 3-pointers to keep Brunswick’s offense going.

Freshman 6-foot-6 forward Chisom Okpara scored 12 points, while Ryan Mulshine and Colin Mulshine added five points apiece for the Bruins.

Sam Mazzullo’s two point s completed the scoring for Brunswick, which is looks to be locked into the No. 5 seed and will be on the road i n the Tuesday’s quarterfinals of the FAA Tournament against an opponent yet to be determined.
