Boys basketball: Rule changes for 2014-15 season

The National Federation of State High School Associations added four new rules for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

The biggest change will be at the free-throw line. Players can now enter the lane once the free throw is released, rather than waiting for it to hit the rim.

The CIAC schools will abide by this and the additional rulings you can see on the CIAC’s website.

Has the CIAC looked at the unsportsman like move committed by the Windsor coach in both the class
” L ” semi & final games, where he is allowed to send in substitute shooters ( of his choosing) for injured players at the free throw line, and then return the “injured” player to thr game.
How is that allowed ?? Let alone in consectutive games !!
Was that move even legal ??

Hopefully Connecticut is ready to move up with the rest of the country and add the shot clock to the high school game. Would make the game more exciting.
