Christian Alvarado, Fairfield Prep cross country: The senior won the State Open championship race, setting a new event record.
LINDSAY SMALEC, Cheshire swimming
Smalec, a junior, won the 100-yard butterfly and the 200 individual medley and was a part of the winning 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay to help the Rams win the Southern Connecticut Conference championship meet.

Emma Farrel, Cheshire field hockey: The senior had three goals in the Rams’ 4-1 win over Branford and had two goals in a 3-1 win over Hand to take the SCC tournament championship.
Allison Stephens, Guilford soccer: The junior scored the deciding goal in the Indians’ 3-1 victory over Branford to win the SCC championship.
