GET OUT AND GO
Bassick at Hamden, Tuesday, 7 p.m.: Over/under on this top 10, non-conference clash has to be around 155 points. No need for a shot clock here — oh that’s right, we don’t have one for CIAC games.
Hillhouse vs. Wilbur Cross at Floyd Little Athletic Center, Wednesday, 7 p.m.: Plenty has happened since the last time these Elm City rivals faced one another just before Christmas. Cross has just won twice in this series since the 2007-08 season, so to say the Governors are overdue would be a vast understatement.
East Lyme at Xavier, Thursday, 7 p.m.: Worth the price of admission to see Dev Ostrowski from East Lyme and Jackson Benigni from Xavier square off
Trinity Catholic at Career, Friday, 6 p.m.: Trinity Catholic won nine straight through Sunday and is rounding into form as the postseason approaches. But this is a dangerous spot for the Crusaders. Game postponed from December due to inclement weather.
Prince Tech at Crosby, Friday, 7 p.m.:. Another intriguing non-conference game that can go a long way in determining seeding for both teams in the CIAC state tournament.
Qualon Wilkes of Bassick scored his 1,000th point in a 84-62 victory at Middletown.
Seymour’s Jaylen Crawford scored his 1,000th point in a 83-55 win over Ansonia. It was the first Seymour player to accomplish the feat since 2000 and the seventh male overall.
