OXFORD — Nick Fedak rushed for three touchdowns and Cayden Mitchell passed for two more scores to lead the Wolverines over the Wildcats.
Fedak had 13 carries in the game, including rushing scores of 13, 1 and 17 yards, while Mitchell completed 11 of 18 passes for 155 yards, including two touchdown passes to Julian Ferrante (60, 29 yards).
Ferrante had five catches for 114 yards and Cameron Thielman scored on a 44-yard interception return and blocked a punt in the win for Oxford (3-5).

WESTON — James Goetz’s 9-yard touchdown pass to Patrick Stack in the fourth quarter and Goetz’s two-point conversion pass to Jack Sawyer gave Weston a 14-13 win over Brookfield Friday night in a SWC football game.
The Bobcats (4-4) led after the first quarter on a pair of field goals by Michael Scribner (52, 28 yards) before the Trojans (5-3) tied the game before halftime on a Goetz 6-yard scoring run.

MONROE — Jack Roberge scored four touchdowns and Matty Hersch passed for 398 yards to lead the undefeated Panthers over the Red Devils (3-5).
Roberge had 12 carries for 103 yards and three touchdowns (2, 5, 16 yards) and caught four passes from Hersch for 112 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. Hersch (24-for-30) also threw touchdown passes to Ryan Shaw (14) and PJ Fox (17) for Masuk, which improved to 8-0.

Dalton Modehn rushed for 192 yards on 15 carries to lead Haddam-Killingworth to a 35-13 win over Lewis Mills Friday night at H-K High School.
H-K (5-3) led 21-7 at the half on a 34-yard TD run by Modehn, a four-yard run by Jake Frith and when Frith recovered a bad snap in the end zone just before the half. Chris Romano scored on a one-yard run for the Spartans before Frith recovered the errant snap for the Cougars’ third score.
Kevi Dougherty scored on a six-yard run in the third and after Grayson Laberge (14-for-27, 192 yards) threw a 12-yard TD pass to Austin Holland, Modehn scored on a 71-yard run for the Cougars’ final touchdown.
“We weren’t as crisp as we were last week against North Branford,” said H-K coach Mike Baklik. “We made some halftime adjustments that allowed us to move the ball better, so I like the way we responded to some challenges early in the game.”

Colton Engle ran for 110 yards on 26 carries and threw the deciding touchdown pass to Julien Revis in the third quarter as Stafford/Somers/East Windsor defeated Ellington 6-2, and improved to 7-1.
Andrew Napolitano made seven tackles and John Kopek had 10 and a fumble recovery for Stafford. Engel also completed 8 of 16 passes for 109 yards. Jeff Kology caught five passes for 78 yards.
This was the second victory over Ellington in school history and first since 2006.

MIDDLETOWN — Tyrese Wright rushed for four touchdowns, passed for one score and scored on an interception return as the Tigers improved to 8-0 with a win over the Hawks (1-7) at Palmer Field.
Wright had seven carries for 153 yards, including scoring runs of 1, 53, 31 and 13 yards, completed 6 of 11 passes for 124 yards, including a 21-yard pass to Malik Lominy, and scored on a 78-yard interception return right before halftime to give Bullard-Havens a 38-0 lead going into the break.
Eddy Holmes added 187 yards rushing and scored two touchdowns — on a 54-yard run and on a 48-yard pass from Tyler Northrop to round out the Tigers’ scoring.
Defensively, Tavon Smith-Brown led the way with 14 tackles and one fumble recovery.
